Practical, simple, easily implemented tips and techniques for everything from office design to the inevitable distractions.
Work/Life Balance
(or lack thereof)Workshops
The issue of work/life balance is huge, complex and personal to each individual situation. These workshops touch on universal issues and challenges that we all face but more importantly they are designed to bring these issues to the surface, to promote reflection and to offer potential solutions. Of course, there is no one size fits all answer to many of these problems but sometimes awareness is the most important and crucial first step.
Busy Beyond Belief
Busy Beyond Belief is a realistic, humorous, look at the issues affecting our work/life balance. Realizing this is not our parents’ work force and recognizing the stressful effects of 24-7 lifestyles provide a basis by which we can evaluate our lives, interpret the current research and reflect on positive changes we can make.
Interruption Management and Multi-Tasking

Does it seem like you spend your day putting out fires or bouncing from one unfinished task to the next? Is multi-tasking really getting things done faster? These questions and more will be addressed in this non-traditional time management seminar. Whether you are a manager, parent, teacher or otherwise busy human being, you will never look at interruptions the same way again. It is possible to better manage our time and more importantly what others do with our time. Join us for a motivational, reflective, and educational look at our daily lives, something we rarely have time to do!

Education Workshops
As a teacher, I am most comfortable with audiences of my peers. Most, if not all, of these topics can be adapted and presented as educational workshops qualifying for professional development points. Some favorites include:
Raising and Organized Child, Creating an Organized Classroom
Organization is a fundamental, teachable skill that will affect a child’s success in school, at work, and in life. As important as it is to teach this skill to children of all ages, it is also important to demonstrate and promote an organized environment for children whether at home, in school or in a childcare setting. If children learn what they live then the organization of a child’s environment is paramount to their success in this area. This presentation will address simple, practical tips and strategies for creating an organized environment as well as suggestions for teaching organizational skills to children.
Communicating with Parents, Avoiding Conflict
Teachers and parents share the same goal… educating children. However, the one topic that can turn any normal, average, everyday parent on his/her head is “bad news” about their child. Learn tips and techniques for delivering effective messages to an audience whose defenses are up and whose ears may not be completely open. Create an environment of mutual respect and ultimately a better education for the child.

Keynote Speeches
We all know that a great keynote speech is an important component in setting the right tone for your conference or meeting. I firmly believe in the motivational and educational aspects of humor and reflection. When an audience laughs, whether it is at me or at themselves, an energy is created that lifts spirits, removes barriers, and opens the door for more positive interactions. Below are some topics that lend themselves easily and effectively to a keynote presentation. Please contact me with your questions and suggestions

For the Love of the Game
This workshop I have presented to many groups of parents, coaches, directors and athletes. It takes on varying forms depending upon my audience. Of all the workshops that I give this is probably the one that I’m most passionate about for many reasons. “Games” - whether playing them or coaching them -are an integral and rewarding part of my life and when it comes to living better, I can find no substitute for physical activity. From recreation professionals to the young athletes I coach, I promote the development of this simple concept. “For the Love of the Game” is designed for reflection and rejuvenation in the hopes of igniting your love of the game and its dissemination to our children.
