Educational Coaching Testimonials

Tracey Bromley Goodwin has been my son’s learning coach for over four years. We began utilizing Tracey’s services shortly after my son’s diagnosis for ADHD. It was and continues to be our desire to incorporate learning strategies which Tracey shows/demonstrates to my son paired with his medication. Our long term goal is that he consistently use the skills Tracey teaches in his daily life and to rely less on medication. I’m happy to say that it has worked. We haven’t had to chase the movable target of reaching optimal medication levels. In fact, we haven’t needed to adjust his medication in over 2 years! Her simple, easy to incorporate ideas have truly made a difference in our lives.

Tracey has been a life raft for my ADHD son for the past five years (now in 9th grade), who sometimes feels like he is drowning at school! He is somewhat disorganized, forgetful, and a procrastinator. He also sometimes gets lost in his own thoughts and misses important information given by his teacher. This is very frustrating for him, as he is very bright and highly motivated to succeed at school. Tracey has taught him useful techniques for staying focused, remembering assignments and tasks, organizing his work, and scheduling his study week. Even more important, she has developed an incredibly strong, trusting, and respectful relationship with him, so that he actually listens to her and acts on her suggestions, something pretty amazing for a 15 year old asserting his independence over adult authority!
